Engineering or Architectural Draftsman

Ideal candidates are those approaching graduation, recent graduates, or those possessing some professional experience working as a draftsman who have a special interest in residential structural drafting. We value those who are willing to learn and be mentored, take pride in his or her work, and possess a strong work ethic and leadership skills. This position presents an excellent opportunity for professional growth and career longevity.

In a Drafting position, you will:
  • Perform drafting assignments including creation of new or revised structural construction documents for residential housing projects, including roof framing, floor framing, foundation plans and construction details
  • Follow CAD standards based on the needs of the client / firm
  • Create roof framing, floor framing and foundation plans
  • Create custom construction details, as required per project
  • Review and redline your own work prior to final review by supervisor
  • Perform various administrative tasks as required for a typical office environment
Requirements:
  • AutoCAD training program completion
  • A working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Architecture 2010 – 2017
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Desire to be a team player
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must be able to work independently, efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Basic Microsoft office skills
  • Must be able to pass drug and background screening

Job Type: Full-time

Job Location: Quakertown, PA

Salary: TBD based on experience, bonus potential based on individual performance

Structural and Civil Engineers

  • Review and redline your own work prior to final review by senior engineer.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, or related field, with Structural Option experience from ABET accredited program REQUIRED
  • Education in computer aided drafting, AutoCAD 2010-2017
  • Passed Fundamentals Exam (FE) and working towards Professional Engineering (PE) licensure
  • Professional Engineering license is a plus, but not required
  • 0-5 years experience in residential structural design
Other Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Desire to be a team player
  • Detail-oriented
  • Must be able to work independently, efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Basic Microsoft office skills

This position presents an excellent opportunity for professional growth and career longevity upon graduation.

In an Engineering position, you will:
  • Perform structural design including creation of new or revised construction documents for residential housing projects including roof framing, floor framing, foundation plans and construction details.
  • Manage multiple design projects and coordinate scheduling.

Education Requirements:
  • Sophomore, Junior or Senior Year students majoring in Civil/Structural Engineering, or related field, with Structural Option experience from an ABET accredited program.
